Apple Arcade - A Review

Apple Arcade is the new gaming service released by Apple. Apple arcade claims to have games that redefine games now here’s my opinion of the service.  Apple Arcade was officially released last Thursday (19 th  September) along with iOS 13, and at the moment for consumers it is only available on iOS. I have been one of the lucky people who have had Apple Arcade since Tuesday 17 th  including on iPadOS.  So, what are my first impressions, well I am impressed. The service has turned out to be a lot better than I originally thought. The games are well built and have gorgeous designs. I started playing Mini Motorways, Patterened and tint on my iPhone X. These games were perfect for my morning commute. All of them very simple but make the morning commute a lot more joyful. I’ll give you an example with Mini Motorways. In “Mini Motorways” the objective of the game is to build a road network so that the correct coloured cars can get to the correct coloured store...

Something Small About 5 - Apple Watch Series 5 and more

This week Apple had their annual September event and to many peoples surprise they did announce a new Apple Watch. The Apple Watch Series 5 and you may have noticed by the tittle there is not much new about it, BUT I don’t see this as a bad thing as they have stopped selling the series 4, I think it’s just some more improvements but not Apples way of saying you must buy this new one because it has this. They didn’t do that.  But what is new, first of all this new Apple watch has a built in compass and compass app now which also displays the current elevation, incline, latitude and longitude in real time on the Compass app or on new complications for the Apple watch. The best new feature and the main one Apple is showcasing regarding this Apple watch is a new Always on Display using a Low Power OLED display with a new Ambient light sensor the Apple watch can keep the display on all the time with the battery unaffected.  To accommodate the new display Apple...

The New iPhone 11 - A blog post

The next generation of iPhones are here! On Tuesday the 10 th of September as everyone expected Apple announced their new versions of the iPhones. They announced three different models and here I’m going to talk a little more about them and my thoughts. To start, The iPhone 11.   The iPhone 11 is Apples answer to the next generation iPhone XR. Just like the XR the iPhone 11 features a 6.1 Inch “Liquid Retina” Display (LCD). The iPhone 11 comes in 6 different colours. Different to last year however, dropping Blue and Coral and replacing these with Green and Purple.  Unlike the XR the 11 has two cameras, both of these are 12MP. One of them your normal 12MP Wide camera. The same found on last years XR. The second camera is one of Apples newest lenses. 12MP Ultra-Wide Camera. When Apple presented the new camera on their Live video presentation, they showed several shots of the amazing photos that this camera can take. The Photos you take will literally be edge to ...

Apple September 2019 Event - A quick recap

Hello, On September 10 th  Apple has there Annual Special event that many now call the Annual iPhone event. Here I’m providing a quick recap and my opinion of it.  It started off small with Services, Apple reminded us all that they are going to be launching Apple TV+ and Apple Arcade soon. They finally confirmed the launch date and the prices. Apple Arcade will be £4.99 per month and Apple TV+ will also be £4.99 and this is for the whole family not just one user. Which sounds pretty decent. Inspecially for Apple Arcade, I’m still not sure on Apple TV+ but Apple are being generous with it in fact when you buy an iPhone, iPad or Mac you get a whole ONE YEAR subscription to Apple TV+. It will be very interesting to see how it pans out. Apple Watch Series 5  Apple have announced there newest generation of Apple Watch which is very similar to there previous 4 th  Gen. New features include the Always on Display and a built in compass. I’ll be going in to more ...

The upcoming Apple event

Good evening, it’s been awhile since I last made a proper blog post. (The last one being the review I wrote on Harry Potters Wizards Unite) This was because I recently sold my 2015 MacBook Pro due to storage issues, I felt like it was holding me back and I have purchased an iMac instead. (Felt it was more practical as I was also using an iPad to get around with.) Anyway, for my first post back I thought I would talk about the upcoming Apple event on the 10th of September. The one thing I have noticed on all the usual Apple rumours sites is that the iPhone will have three cameras. There have been many different designs across the internet regarding how this will look and I’m not sure on the looks of it, I’m sure many of you will agree with me on this one. For me the third camera would have to do something really cool to make it worth overlooking the design. Having said that it is still a rumour so the new iPhone may only come with 2 cameras we will have to wait and see...
